Group Therapy Offerings

GROUP THERAPY

Group therapy is an emotionally corrective experience that facilitates access to feelings and the practice of new coping skills in the here and now. Dr Cindy James believes that the combination of individual and group therapy is a powerful tool for change.

Group therapy is a tool for interpersonal learning, allowing for access to feelings and the practice of new skills and behaviors in the here and now. Feedback provides a window into self-awareness and a unique opportunity to navigate what might be blindspots in individual therapy through the eyes of peers. Group therapy boosts self-esteem and confidence by self expression and a communal sharing of strengths.

Cindy takes great care to maintain a psychologically safe and supportive space for all participants.

During the COVID crisis, group therapy provides connection and interaction during a very isolative time. Group cohesiveness assists members in gaining a sense of belonging and acceptance.

Group therapy is a powerful tool in addressing social anxiety, low self-esteem and depression.
